　　1. 作者的假设：efficiency->leisure time。这个假设有道理的情况：工作总量不变。转折：然而，明显工作总量在增加，是时间很可能不变。(对比古今的效率和闲暇时间)

　　2. 然而提高效率是有意义的，即便不增加闲暇，也能增加总量(对比+拆分)一定要落到今天物质的丰富对我们的价值，以及这种丰富来源于效率的提高

　　3. 提高效率还能够解决急迫问题(能源、环境、疾病)列举。能源利用的效率提高;燃烧过程中燃料利用率提高减少排放;医疗体系效率的增强，医用物品配送效率的提高……
