第一篇:
This picture vividly describes that the person uses a computer in the whole day even when he falls asleep at night. What the cartoon conveys is the impact of computers on people. New products are being invented every minute of every day, all of which will hold sway over people in some respects。
However, in all these technologies and products, computers have exerted the most important influence on people. Some people assert that computers have made life more complex and stressful, while some people believe that computers have made life easier and more convenient. Now many of my classmates like to surf the Internet in their free time. I think Internet can bring us both advantages and disadvantages. For example, if I have some trouble studying, I can surf the internet to find more helpful information. However, Internet can make some problems at the same time。
In a word, in spite of the fact the computer appears to have made life more complex and stressful, I feel that the advantages are more obvious, which have become an integral part of everyday life。
第二篇:
“Good news mom! I was accepted to the college of your choice。”
As is graphically depicted in the cartoon, a young girl istalking with her mother. She says ironically, “Good news mom! I wasaccepted to the college of your choice!” Then, her mother smilesand seems content with this result. Apparently, the cartoon aims toreveal the fact that a majority of modern parents play anincreasingly negative role in their children’s growth.
There are several possible reasons accountable for thisphenomenon. To begin with, family in growing numbers has onlyone child; therefore, parents oftentimes focus all their attentionson that child and exert much pressure on him or her. Moreover, numerous parents intend to realize their unfulfilled dreams byletting their children learn what they failed to learn and applyfor the college by which they failed to be accepted, because theyhave become richer and they believe that they have the power tomake what they wanted and want come true now. For instance, myuncle used to be a poor man and his dream that one day he wouldbecome a violinist was broken because of lack of money. But he madea fortune by selling coals, and then forced his son, my youngerbrother to practice playing violin. My brother was a huge fan ofsports, but now he has to play violin everyday unwillingly andofter quarrels with theirparents.
To sum up, it is unreasonable for parents to control theirchildren’s life. In order to help them grow happily andhealthily, parents are supposed to communicate with their kidsabout what they are really interested in(. Meanwhile, itis about time that parents let their kids make their ownchoices. Only in these ways will children grow in apsychologically happy environment and realize their owndreams.
第三篇:
手机永远不能取代学校
参考范文: As is illustrated in the picture, a pupil is asking his father why he is going to school if his phone already knows everything. It can be known that the pupil lacks a thorough understanding of going to school. Compared with the phone, there are certain things that can be only achieved by going to school. In the first place, going to school endows us with the experiences of getting along with others. Only by contacting people can our interpersonal skills be developed. The phone only provides information in an environment where there is just the phone and you. Secondly, you can consult your teacher face to face about any detail of your question, which cannot be done on your phone. Last but not least, school is a place where you can learn to be independent. If you stay with your parents all the time, you will never truly grow up. To conclude, it’s a necessity for kids to go to school. It is a truth which should be well acknowledged that school can never be replaced by the phone。
Three points can account for my view. Firstly, without going to school, we cannot learn basic knowledge and ethics that phones are unable to teach us. Secondly, without going to school, we cannot learn skills to make good use of high technologies. Thirdly, without going to school, we cannot learn disciplines and unity with people around us. In school, not only do we acquire knowledge but we learn how to communicate with people。
In a word, no matter how high technologies are powerful, they totally cannot replace going to school。
